Ravi Lamichhane, chairman of the National Independent Party, has said that the provision of time limit on corruption cases in the bill to amend the Prevention of Corruption Act 2059 is not acceptable.

Speaker Lamichhane said that youths are receiving calls saying that there should be no limit in the corruption case and there is a campaign on social media. "Five-year time limit will not be valid in the case of corruption, no if, no but," Lamichhane said at the meeting of the House of Representatives on Thursday.

Lamichhane said that when the atmosphere of fear was created by the government made up of the two main parties in the parliament, the youths were aware and spoke against corruption.

He said that the youths are worried that the big party will put a limit on the investigation of the corruption case, and they think that this should not happen and that they believe that the Singi Parliament will stand on their side .
