Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Deepak Khadka has said that the government has set a target to electrify the homes of all citizens within the next two years. Minister Khadka urged all parties to cooperate in achieving the government's goal.
Minister Khadka, speaking at a program held on Friday by the National Federation of Community Electricity Consumers on the occasion of its 20th foundation day, said that the government and the private sector should work together in the field of electricity development in the country.
Minister Khadka also expressed his commitment to work to solve the problems of the private sector. Mentioning that he is closely monitoring the development of electricity, it will be easy to work, Minister Khadka called on all the related parties, including the private sector, to support it. Our goal is that within the next two years, we will electrify all citizens' homes. Now we have to move forward accordingly.'
He expressed his gratitude to the community-based electrification-related associations and organizations for doing electrification work in the community even during the difficult situation of the armed conflict.
