According to Balakrishna Basnet, Head of Bahrbise Municipality, since the ramp is being constructed immediately, an excavator was used to evacuate the locals on Monday and Tuesday. Basnet said that three excavators from Bahrbise municipality were used to divert traffic there.
Excavators were used for the locals who were walking to different places along the border and across the river on Tuesday after they got stuck. Sanumaya Tamang of Tamang tol, who traveled to Bahrbise Nagar-5 Jambu, said that she was surprised that she had to travel by excavator for the first time.
"Now, Fadke is building, after Fadke, we don't have to travel by dozer, we have to go this way now that there is no other option to go home," she said. Like him, two dozen locals crossed the river by climbing on the bucket of an excavator on Tuesday. "Rather than not, it became a way to cross the river," said local Narayan Shrestha.
Two cranes were used to pull the belay bridge in this river connecting Bahrbise Municipalities-3 and 5 and it has been restored to its original location. Out of 26 km of Bahrbise Tatopani road section, apart from Khagdal, 10 km, Liping section is also obstructed by Barkhe river and landslides.
