Taking office by the newly appointed Health Minister Paudel

The newly appointed Minister of Health and Population, Pradeep Paudel, reached the Ministry at Ramshahpath today and assumed office. After taking the oath of office and confidentiality at the President's office, he went to the ministry and assumed office.

After assuming office, Minister Paudel had a brief conversation with the media and mentioned that many Nepali people are suffering from cancer and said that he would emphasize on its control and prevention. He expressed his commitment to strengthen and organize the integrated health system and make all citizens join health insurance.

'I have come to the place of work . I will proceed with the necessary suggestions from the experts', Minister Paudel said, 'my emphasis will be on strengthening the integrated health system.' Minister Poudel mentioned that he will be focused on providing quality health services in a speedy manner.

Minister Paudel's political journey

Newly appointed Health Minister Paudel was born on 14th Chait 2031 as the son of mother Durgadevi and father Dilliraman Paudel in Shuklagandaki Municipality-8 of Tanahun . Joining the Nepal Vidyarthi Sangh, he was active in the 2046 public movement and was elected as the President of Amrit Science Campus in 2053.

He was in favor of educational change for a long time and led the student movement and became the central president of the Nepal Student Union in 2064. Paudel, who has a master's degree in sociology, is currently a central member of the Nepali Congress. He was elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Kathmandu Constituency No. 5 in the parliamentary elections of 2079. During the people's movement of 2062/63, he was also imprisoned.
