The newly appointed Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel has said that the budget brought by the previous government will not be an obstacle to implement the thinking and vision of the newly formed government.

Today, after taking oath at the President's Office, Minister Paudel reached the Ministry of Finance at Singha Darbar and took office. He opined that if there is any problem in the implementation of the budget, it can be amended procedurally.

'Budget does not become an obstacle to implement the government's thinking and approach. If there is an obstacle, there are legal and constitutional provisions on how to remove it. Accordingly, we will proceed with the amendment process,' said Finance Minister Paudel. Stating that the formation of a joint government with two major parties in the parliament has given a message of political stability, he expressed his belief that the problems seen in the country's economy will be resolved with the formation of a permanent government.

'Government will move forward to end the current despair and raise hope. We will move forward by focusing on production and employment, for this I expect all sectors to cooperate in the changed context,' said Paudel, 'since the stock market is a mirror of the economy, we want this sector to move forward in a balanced manner.'

Paudel has made the first decision regarding the study to identify the field of development finance after taking charge as the Minister of Finance. This is Minister Paudel's third term as Deputy Prime Minister and fourth term as Finance Minister. He was directly elected from Rupandehi Constituency No. 2 in the House of Representatives Election 2079.

Paudel, who first became an MP in 2051, was a member of the Constituent Assembly in 2064 and 2070. He worked as the Chairman of Constitution Archives Study and Nirkyol Committee (2070). The newly appointed Minister of Finance Paudel has previously served as Minister of Youth Sports and Culture in 2053, Minister of Water Resources in 2065 and Minister of Defense in 2067.

Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Paudel lived underground from 2035 to 2046. In 2037, he was sentenced to three years in prison and a fine of 3,000. Deputy Prime Minister Paudel, who is known as an influential leader of the Communist Party of Nepal (UML), has been active in politics for four decades. He is now the Vice President of UML.

Minister Paudel, who entered politics in October 2035 as a member of the All Nepal Communist Revolutionary Coordination Committee (MALE), worked as a full-time member from November 2035. He has worked as District Committee Secretary of CPN (Malay) in 2041, Central Committee member of CPN (UML) in 2047 and UML Standing Committee member in 2059.
