Three passengers managed to save their lives by jumping when the Ganpati Deluxe No. 03-001 B 2495, which was coming from Kathmandu towards Gaur in Rautahat, was swept away by a landslide in the Simaltal of Chitwan. They are now in Chitwan.

Two passengers from Dewahigonahi in Rautahat and one passenger from Siswa Dhamura in Vrindavan Municipality have saved their lives by jumping from the bus. A young man from Rautahat has posted a video on social media in which he saved his life by jumping from the window of the cabin when the bus started falling. Two passengers sitting together have also saved their lives. The passenger said, "It was as if he was holding his breath when he got down from panic."

Friday morning at around 3:30 AM, the Ganapati Deluxe bus No. 001 B 2495 coming from Kathmandu to Rautahat fell into a landslide at a place called Bharatpur Mahanagara Palika-29 Simtal . The bus came to Rautahat carrying 23 passengers from Kalanki in Kathmandu and 5 passengers from Jorpati. Dipu Singh, the in-charge of Deluxe Bus Kathmandu, said that 27 people from the counter and conductor Rishi Singh took one of his people.

Chief District Officer of Chitwan Indradev Yadav has said that there are 41 passengers in the bus but it has not been confirmed. According to Incharge Singh, the driver Kishore Chaudhary and conductor Rishi Singh who live in Rautahat are on the bus. Kantipur has received the list of passengers who bought tickets from the counter. However, there is no information about how many passengers boarded from Beechbato.

Along with the said bus, the bus going from Birgunj to Kathmandu was also swept away by the landslide. According to the Chief District Officer Yadav, there were 24 passengers in the bus.
