Unauthorized mining in forest mass

After the country went to a federal structure, the people's representatives came from local level elections in 2074 for the first time. After that, the Godavari municipality started unauthorized mining in the national and community forest areas, but both the municipality and the administration were ignoring it. The Godavari municipality also allowed the sale of construction materials by reducing the tax rate so that there is embezzlement in tax.

Birendra Maharjan, who has been made a defendant, has been operating illegal stone quarrying in Damsidol community forest of Lele Nallu area under Godavari Municipality and crusher in Nallu Khola area. Similarly, Madhusudan Dotel, the owner of the Nirakar stone wheel industry, has been operating a stone crusher in the Damsidol community forest and crushing the Nallu river. Because of this, changing the nature of Nallu River, the river itself has been encroached upon and exploited.

Miners are operating about 20 to 25 ropani forest maser crushers and stone quarrying in Lele Nallu area alone. Even now, when eight to ten excavators are used to transport construction materials daily, the administration and local level mechanisms have been disrupted. The unusable materials released from the unauthorized industries run in this way are mixed in the Nallu river. Which has made the river more polluted.

According to the locals, around 150 households in Tikabhairav, Radha village, Gaurigaon of Lele Nallu area have been adversely affected due to these industries.

Forest Masser stone quarrying is the same in Lalitpur's Godavari Municipality-7 Devichaur. In August 2080, the Department of Mines had instructed Machindranath Multipurpose to take action on the grounds that it was carrying out stone quarrying in the national forest and crusher industry on public land. However, none of the administration, police and local government were interested in it. The local level has become a silent spectator when the easy stone industry is operating the crusher by crushing the public land. According to the locals, crushers with easy and machindra use four/five dozers daily. From which 60 to 70 consignments of construction materials are transported.
