Government Policy and Programme: 'AI' strategy will be formulated

Presenting the policy and program for the next fiscal year, President Ramchandra Poudel gave information about the AI ​​strategy on Tuesday. The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology has already prepared a strategic concept paper on AI, including the steps to be taken by the government and all stakeholders for the development, use and regulation of AI.

Under the leadership of Anil Kumar Dutt, joint secretary of the information technology division of the ministry, the concept paper was being drafted for the last three months. Dutt had informed Kantipur some time ago that the first phase has been prepared. The ministry has informed that it includes suggestions on who should play what role for the systematic use of AI. First of all, it is pointed out in the concept paper that the government should create policies, laws and procedures related to AI.

In addition, it is also mentioned that the government will draft laws on electronic governance and personal data protection in the next year's policies and programs. "Electrical governance blueprint and strategy will be prepared," President Paudel said, "Internet and data exchange platform will be built to maintain interconnection between electrical systems." Civil Service Center will be put into operation in collaboration with the local level to provide public services provided by various agencies from one place.'
