On the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, devotees throng the Krishna temple in Patan Darbar area of Lalitpur.
A line has been arranged for pilgrims on the south and north side of the temple for worship. Nepal Scout, Lalitpur Metropolitan Police are deployed to manage the line of devotees.
It is customary for the head of state to pay a visit and worship at the temple. Vedic Sanatan Hindus are celebrating 'Shrikrishna Janmashtami' today all over the country by worshiping Lord Krishna.
The 'Shrimad Bhagwat Gita' is considered to be a holy book, spoken by Lord Krishna himself while giving a sermon to Arjuna, one of the Pandavas involved in the battle with the Kauravas in Kurukshetra.
