A cyclist has died after being hit by a tipper in Bhaktapur. 65-year-old Asanara Koju, resident of Bhaktapur Municipality-8 Liwali, a cyclist, died.
At around 1 pm on Friday afternoon, a tipper of Bagmati 4 Bh 4931, which was going from Kharipati at Chokhamaru Chowk, Bhaktapur Municipality-9, hit the bicycle.
Koju, who was seriously injured in the accident, was taken to Khwap Hospital for treatment. Bhaktapur police spokesperson DSP Rajan Karki informed that he died during treatment.
According to him, the tipper driver, 33-year-old Amir Tamang of Melamchi Municipality-9 of Sindhupalchok, has been arrested. The police said that further investigation is being done on the incident.
