The Bagmati Safai campaign, which started with the slogan of two hours of volunteering a week for the nation, has entered its 585th week.

Campaigner Kishore Singh Shahi said that one metric ton of non-biodegradable garbage was cleaned and managed on the banks of the Wagmati River near the Wagmati Yellow Bridge in Koteshwar. Garbage collected today from the cleaning has been kept in the vehicle of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Environment Department and managed.

The cleanliness campaigners were active with the local residents. The next week's cleaning will also be done in the Yellow Bridge area near Koteshwar Mahadev Temple, according to the cleaning campaign. The clean-up campaign, which started on 5th June 2070, continues without stopping even in adverse conditions such as rain, winter, earthquake, blockade, and corona epidemic.

After the start of the Bagmati clean-up campaign, cleaning has also been started in its tributaries. In Kathmandu Valley, the north and west parts of the ring road are also being cleaned. The cleaning campaign has also started in the main rivers and cities outside the Kathmandu Valley. At present, more than one hundred and eight places are being cleaned across the country.
