A meeting of deposit and credit protection agencies of 16 different Asian countries is going to be held in Nepal. The government bodies of those countries are going to participate in the conference of security organizations of Asian countries (ASIC Conference) which will start from Friday in Kathmandu. Nepal is going to hold the 36th ASIC conference after 30 years.

Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel is scheduled to inaugurate the 51st anniversary of the Deposit and Credit Protection Fund and the ASIC Conference on Friday. The conference will continue till next Monday. During the

conference, the deposit and credit protection agencies of different countries will discuss the contemporary issues of this sector with the experience of their countries, said Ramesh Ghimire, the chief executive officer of the fund. He said that this time the topic of innovation has been given priority in the conference. "The fund is trying to convey the message that you can take a loan by putting your new thinking as a mortgage," he said. Security organizations from 16 countries including Nepal, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, South Korea, and Japan will participate in the

conference. The fund is preparing to display the discussion session of the conference in the traditional style of debating in Nepal.
