  • Commercial production of rice harvesting machine reaper and rice threshing machine thresher will be done within three months

The National Innovation Center is doing its homework to start commercial production within 3 months from the agricultural implement factory in Birgunj, which has been operating for 21 months. Ritesh Dev, engineer of the center working in the factory, said that there is a plan for commercial production of rice harvesting machine reaper and rice threshing machine thresher.

'We are working with the goal of producing a reaper and thresher machine within the next 3 months,' Dev said, 'for that, we have recently introduced a CNC laser machine at a cost of 50 lakh rupees in the factory, this automatic machine cuts the iron sheets required for the production of agricultural equipment.' Due to this, the production of agricultural equipment can be done at a faster pace.

Dev also said that there is a plan to add twice as much manpower to the factory as before starting commercial production. At present 25 manpower is working in the factory, there is a plan to add 25 more manpower. At present, the manpower working in the factory consists of 7 Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical Engineers, 1 Mechanical Overseer and the remaining Fabricator Technicians.

079 From January 1, the center has taken over this factory from the government of Nepal and is operating it. Engineer Dev says that the center has spent 25 million rupees on the operation of the factory so far and this amount has also been received from about 10 million rupees collected by Mahavir Pun, the founder of the centre, by selling his autobiography book.

The agricultural implement factory, which was laid the foundation stone in 024 by the then King Mahendra, was closed in 049 after falling ill after 047. Complaining that the Nepalese government did not provide 20 million rupees to operate the factory as promised, the center's director is again on a campaign to sell his autobiography to recover the amount. It is said that he has collected around 10 crore rupees during this process. The

center has so far produced a successful trial of a weeder machine that works like a rice reaper, potato digging digger, potato planter, rice planter, rice planter, dung dewatering, plastic mulcher, dry grass cutting, paddy threshing, digging etc. . Apart from this, it has also produced small agricultural tools such as hoe, spade, arc cutter etc.
