Physical Infrastructure and Transport Minister Devendra Dahal has said that the development of innovation and technology is a priority of the government. He said that the journey to progress and prosperity can be made easier through the use of technology, he said that the government is ready to encourage alternative energy, technology and research to achieve the goal of a prosperous Nepal.
At the launching program of the petrol and hydrogen powered vehicles developed by the Institute of Engineering Studies, Pulchok College on Monday, Minister Dahal also said that the Ministry is leading the necessary policy arrangements for the development and promotion of such technologies.
Dahal says that countries like Nepal are being affected by the increasing carbon emissions due to industrialized countries, and pollution is being affected from the mountains to the sea. He said that Nepal should also be ready to face such global challenges, he clarified that it is necessary to emphasize on the promotion of environment-friendly and renewable fuel. In the
program, the secretary of the ministry, Keshav Kumar Sharma, said that since Nepal can get hydrogen naturally, the ministry is ready to make legal arrangements for industrial production and use.
