Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel has instructed to work so that the revenue target is fulfilled. Finance Minister Paudel gave this instruction while speaking at the Customs Department program in Kathmandu on Thursday.
Paudel directed the officials of the customs office to work keeping in mind the fact that not only meeting the target of revenue but also raising more. He mentioned that there will be no compromise on revenue mobilization.
'In terms of meeting the revenue target, not only the target is met, but in some places the target can be crossed. Please proceed with the goal of achieving the revenue target and achieving the maximum potential of revenue mobilization. There will be no compromise in revenue mobilization,' said Finance Minister Paudel.
He drew the attention of the relevant authorities even though he was not satisfied that so much progress had been made compared to last year. Stating that the economy is still under pressure, Finance Minister Paudel says that there are many challenges from the point of view of revenue mobilization. He said that there are many mandatory obligations that have yet to be paid, and if the revenue mobilization is not effective, the economy will not be able to move forward properly.
