The Finance Committee of the House of Representatives has instructed the government to appoint the Chairman of the Securities Board as soon as possible. Chairman Santosh Chalise informed that it has been decided to appoint a qualified and suitable person to the position of Chairman of the Securities Board as it has been vacant for a long time.
. Since the capital market is a sensitive area and directly related to the financial aspects of common investors, the committee has drawn the attention of all stakeholders to prepare an environment for the market to run in a natural rhythm.
All together, the chairman has to be sensitive towards making the capital market more robust, transparent and sustainable, and the action plan related to the Nepal Securities Board including legal and other reform aspects must be submitted to the committee within 15 days. Chalise said . It has been decided to add parliamentarians Metmani Chaudhary and Ganga Karki to the complaint investigation sub-committee of the

Chalise also said that it has been decided to take the bills sent to the committee for discussion from the House of Representatives to be discussed sequentially with high priority and to proceed with the discussion of the Banking Offenses and Punishment (Second Amendment) Bill 2080 received in the committee first.
