Bankers have requested Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel to make the economy, which has been sluggish for a long time, run. Officials of Nepal Bankers Association made such a request on Tuesday in a meeting with Finance Minister Paudel.

"Even in the context of declining interest rates of banks and financial institutions, due to the contraction in credit expansion, the government had to move towards making the economy viable in a situation where the market was relatively unsustainable," said Sunil KC, president of the Nepal Bankers Association. KC, president of the

association, recently briefed the Finance Minister on the growing negative perception of the public about the financial sector, targeted attacks on banks and financial institutions, declining returns of banks, and increasing bad loans.

In the meeting with the backers, the Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Paudel said that for the easy solution of the challenges that have appeared in the economy, the stakeholders should unite and move towards making the economy sustainable.

'Mainly, as the main challenge of the current economy, it seems that all the stakeholders should be serious about increasing the economic activities by increasing the confidence of the common people and entrepreneurs, businessmen,' he said, 'because the government is the parent of all, it should support everyone's problems and solve the problems. He also said that the government is committed to stop the physical and mental attacks on bank employees.

Similarly, he said that the state is ready to end the trend of not paying by taking loans that are increasing in the society because the bank invests the money collected from the people.
