Labor Minister Aryal's instructions to arrange for labor approval within an hour

On Sunday, Minister Aryal, while discussing with the FEMIS system supplier, Ministry's information technology branch and consultants, gave instructions to improve the system by issuing work permits within one hour from next Friday.

The Foreign Employment Department has introduced the Femis system to make the process of foreign employment more technology-friendly, but due to the problems in that system, workers are complaining that they have to bear an additional financial burden as they do not get work permits on time. To solve this problem, Minister Aryal has given instructions to improve the FEMIS system immediately.

Minister Aryal directed to improve the system so that when workers apply for a labor permit from any corner of the world, they can be given a labor permit within an hour. "If you can work, do it, otherwise, even if you find other options, I will improve the Femis system so that you can give labor approval in one hour within a month," he said.

Ministry's information technology consultant has been monitoring the Femis system for the past one week. The software supplier of Femis system is E-Bima Company while the hardware supplier is Drishti Tech Company.

In 2016, the department purchased software to keep data on foreign workers, provide online tokens and work permits.
