One person was killed on Sunday when a pickup van hit him in Padari village on the Simraungadh-Tamagarhi road section of Bara. 55-year-old Adhikari Yadav of Rautahat's Moulapur municipality-8 Sonranian village died after being hit by a van.
Lalu Yadav, Deputy Inspector of Police of Kolhvi Area Police Office, said that Yadav, who was carrying vegetables on his bicycle, was hit by a pick-up van number 2-01-4920 going from Kolhvi towards Simraungadh.
The police say that the pickup van and the 2 occupants have been detained and are being investigated. Sajan Chaudhary and Prince Jaiswal of Kolhvi-1 riding in the pickup are under control. According to the police, both of them are blaming each other for driving the pickup van during the statement. The police informed that the driver's license is with Sajan.
