Deumai Municipality has been providing 5,000 assistance for birth and death registration. Under the event registration, the support is being provided for birth registration and death registration within 35 days.

On behalf of the municipality, Deumai has been providing Rs.5,000 nutrition allowance to every pregnant woman who has permanently settled in the city after registering the birth of her baby within 35 days under the 'Sutkeri Shishu Poshan Program'.

In the financial year 2080/81, 227 pregnant women in the city have received Rs. 11 lakh 35 thousand nutritional allowance from Deumai municipality. Gajendra Ekten, Accounts Officer of Deumai Municipality, informed that they all registered their births on time.

In the previous fiscal year 2079/80, Deumai provided 1.5 million 60 thousand nutrition allowance to 312 pregnant women who were permanently residing in the city. He said that there is a provision to submit the proof of permanent residence within Deumai city, four pregnancy tests at any health institution and birth registration at the ward office within 35 days.

City Chief Surya Prasad Pokhrel said that the 'Sutkeri Shishu Nutrition Program' has been implemented to improve the health of mothers and babies in the motivation and nutritional status of mothers and babies within 35 days of being pregnant. He said that the post-natal nutrition management program has been implemented in order to convey a positive message to deliver quality health care to post-natal mothers and newborns.

Likewise, Deumai Municipality has been providing Rs.5,000 assistance to the families of citizens within the city who died for any reason. In the financial year 2080/81, the families of two hundred and four deceased people of Deumai 1 million 20 thousand cremation expenses received. Accounts officer Ekten said that there is a system to provide cremation expenses after the death certificate is submitted to the municipality within 35 days of the

incident. In the previous fiscal year 2079/80, Deuma provided 950,000 to the families of 190 dead people in the city.

Similarly, in the financial year 2080/81, one thousand seven hundred and fifty four senior citizens of Deumai received 3.54 lakh clothing allowance from the city. Clothing allowance at the rate of 2000 has been provided to all senior citizens above 70 years of age who are permanent residents of Deumai city. Accounting officer Ekten informed them that the municipality has provided them with clothing allowance at the rate of two thousand rupees annually.

In the year 2079/80, Deumai provided clothing allowance of Rs.31 lakh 52 thousand to 1,576 senior citizens. Likewise, the municipality has provided treatment expenses for 25 chronically ill people in the year 2081/81. Accounting officer Ekten informed that Deumai has provided Rs.125,000 to the long-term patient for medicine expenses at the rate of Rs.5,000.

Deumai has been providing treatment expenses once a year to long-term patients living permanently in the city. In the year 2079/80, Deuma provided 200,000 rupees for treatment expenses to 40 long-term patients.
