Koshi Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki has said that he will not increase the ministry in the province. Earlier, Chief Minister Karki, who had hinted at adding a ministry to include the Nepali Congress in the government, said while talking to reporters at the Biratnagar Airport on Sunday, 'Ministry does not increase when the government is expanded.'

Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli were informed a few days ago that the ministry would not be dissolved, Karki said that they had also discussed with the provincial level Congress leaders about not dissolving the ministry. He added, 'We are not in favor of increasing the ministries, according to the agreement made some time ago, UML will get 5 ministries and Congress will get 4 ministries along with the Chief Minister.'

Chief Minister Karki claimed that the government will be expanded within a day or two. "As soon as the Congress finalizes the name of the minister, as soon as the Congress gives the name, the cabinet will be expanded", Karki said.
