Skywalk built in Vedetaar will be operational from today. The skywalk was built in coordination with Koshi Province Investment Authority, Sangurigarhi Rural Municipality of Dhankuta and Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City of Sunsari.

Sanjeev Rokka, executive director of the project, informed that the skywalk was built with an investment of 20 crore rupees by Wonders Amusement Park and Attractions Pvt Ltd. Bhedetar, located on the border of Dhankuta and Sunsari, is considered a hub for domestic and foreign tourists. It is claimed that the skywalk operation will increase the attraction of that place. Koshi Province Investment Authority has given permission for the project for 25 years.

According to sources, the 50-meter-long skywalk is built on the model of a cantilever tower. The height of the skywalk, which can accommodate 200 people at a time, is 100 meters, 4 meters wide and 10 meters in circumference. Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki is inaugurating the Skywalk, which was signed four years ago during the time of the then Chief Minister of Koshi Province Sherdhan Rai.

A skywalk has been constructed at Charles Point in Vedetaar after replacing the tower that was built earlier. After construction in Kamaladi in Kathmandu and Kanyam in Ilam, Vajders Group has also prepared a skywalk in Vedetaar.
