After 11 years, the Animal Services Office, which was removed from the district after the federal structure, has been established as a 'Veterinary Hospital and Animal Services Expert Center'. The office under the Koshi state government has been established in the district. Its working area will be Taplejung district.
Koshi Province Economic Affairs and Planning Minister Ram Bahadur Rana Magar inaugurated the office after sending a team including veterinary doctor Roshan Dahal after establishing a post with doctors.
Rana said that Taplejung residents will get all the services provided through the expert center from the district. Services were being provided to Taplejung from the Veterinary Hospital and Animal Expert Center Panchthar. The center does all activities related to animal husbandry and livestock.
Veterinary technicians and animal breeders have been demanding to establish an office in the district. They also put pressure on the state and central government through the district administration, local level. They were dissatisfied that there was no veterinarian in the geographically largest district of Koshi province. The biggest hit happened during Lumpyskin.
Farmers could not get easy treatment. Now every municipality has a veterinary technician. They had to reach or contact Pachthar for the solution that they could not do.
