In Dhankuta's Sahidbhoomi Rural Municipality 7, seven people fell ill after eating poisonous wild mushrooms. The police said that the sick people belong to the same local family.

It is said that there are 63-year-old Indrakamala Rai, 55-year-old Dilmaya Rai, 36-year-old Tekmaya Rai, 39-year-old Madankumari Rai, 41-year-old Thamansin Rai, 18-year-old Heman Rai and 19-year-old Yamuna Rai. They got sick after they brought mushrooms from the forest and cooked them on Wednesday night.

Police spokesperson DSP Rajbabu Maharjan informed that all the patients were sent to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan for treatment on Thursday. According to hospital sources, all the patients have symptoms of vomiting and their condition is normal. According to the police, three people fell ill in Dhankuta after eating wild mushrooms last week.
