Nepal Communist Party (Unified Samajwadi) has asked Deputy Secretary General Metmani Choudhary for an explanation regarding controversial statements about Nepalese land.

Speaking on a television program last Monday, Deputy Secretary General Choudhary expressed that Nepali land is Lipulek, Kalapani of India. Ghanshyam Bhusal, General Secretary of United Socialist Party, has written a letter and given three days time to submit a written explanation.

'In the evening of Prime Television on 25th of Bhadra, India has presented its claim on Lipulekh and Kalapani. I think the claim is enough, the claim is enough, India can take it, (Kalapani and Lipulek) are said to belong to India,' the letter says, 'many facts have made it clear that the said territory belongs to Nepal . It is well known that the territory has been made a part of the constitution based on the claim of our party as well. On the contrary, why did you speak against the integrity and sovereignty of the country? Please provide an explanation in writing within three days.'
