A team of Norwegian parliamentarians has visited Nepal. A 14-member team led by MP Ine Marie Eriksson Soreide, who is also the former foreign minister and defense minister of Norway, has come to visit. On Thursday, the International Relations and Tourism Committee of the House of Representatives welcomed the team and held a discussion with the guest MPs.

Norway's parliamentary minister praised Nepal's contribution to peacekeeping. Similarly, he said that Norway is willing to help Nepal's energy sector. A theoretical agreement was also reached on the occasion to exchange learning and experience of parliamentary practice between the two parliaments in the coming days.

Chairman Yadav informed the visiting team about the formation process of the federal parliament of Nepal, the number and the work and jurisdiction of the parliamentary committees. He said that in the Parliament of Nepal, the voice of the people will get a place and the questions raised there will be addressed.
