Chairman of Nepali Congress and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has claimed that the current government was not formed to weaken other political parties. Speaking at the honoring program for the best municipalities and rural municipalities organized at the party central office Sanepa on Thursday, chairman Deuba said that there is no policy to defeat other parties.
Chairman Deuba said that he wanted to bring everyone together. He said that after the government was formed between Congress and UML, there was joy and enthusiasm among Congress leaders and workers across the country.
He said, 'Our party and CPN-UML reached an agreement and now a new government has been formed. When we were UML and Maoists, all my friends were worried about the condition of our party. They were also scared. He also considered it awkward. According to their suggestion, we reached an agreement after talking to UML leader KP Sharma Oli. With that agreement, KP Oliji is now the Prime Minister. After two years, it has been agreed that I will leave the Prime Ministership for one and a half years. This has brought happiness to friends all over the country. All friends are happy. The agreement between the two parties. Because of that, some friends of other parties may worry that we will become another party after the two parties merge. But it is not our party's policy to destroy or weaken anyone.'
