One hundred rural villages that have been without a chief administrative officer for months now have a chief administrative officer. The Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration has appointed chief administrative officer in 100 rural villages on Thursday.

Out of the 106 branch officers appointed as branch officers on Wednesday, 6 have been posted in Kathmandu. The ministry has appointed another hundred people as chief administrative officers.

3 out of the remaining 6 people have been assigned to the Abuse of Authority Investigation Commission and the other 3 people have been placed in the additional group.

Currently, 123 rural villages are without chief administrative officers, the ministry has appointed officials in 100 rural villages at once . According to the ministry, preparations are being made to send chief administrative officer to the vacant 23 rural villages as soon as possible.

According to the ministry, chief administrative officer has been assigned according to the position in all the 6 metropolitan cities that have the post of joint secretary. The post of chief administrative officer is vacant in one of the 11 sub-metropolitan cities where there is a post of joint secretary. Similarly, there are posts of Deputy Secretary in 276 municipalities, and 146 municipalities have filled the post. Now the post of chief administrative officer is vacant only in 130 municipalities.
