Sigdel Commander-in-Chief of the Nepali Army

Sigdel will take over the leadership of the 96,000-strong army until August 24, 2084. As Prabhuram Sharma went on regular retirement after completing his three-year term, it was decided to give Sigdel the responsibility of the Chief of Army Staff on August 12 on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers.

Sigdel was accused of 'messing up' citizenship and educational certificates when he was promoted from Uparathi to Rathi. According to the military tradition of taking leave of the Chief of Army Staff one month before his retirement, after Chief of Army Staff Sharma was on leave, senior Rathi Sigdel was taking over the responsibility of Chief of Army Staff from July 25.

Sigdel was born on 19th of January 2023, who has a permanent home in Bhairahwa, Rupandehi. He joined Nepal Army in 2043 as a military officer. From 2045 Shri Devi Dutt was appointed in the rank of Assistant Soldier. For 38 years

Sigdel serving in the army has received higher education and military training from home and abroad. In addition to commanding Padik Pritna, Bahini and Gana, he has also held the responsibility of Commandant of Counterinsurgency and Jungle Warfare School. He has also been an important war operations department of the army, inspector, administrator and head of the Directorate General of Order, Policy and Planning. Sigdel also has the experience of serving as the military assistant to the Commander-in-Chief.

has experience working as a federal peacekeeper in the former Yugoslavia, Tajikistan and Liberia.
