According to the Department of Water and Meteorology, Monsoon is currently affecting the country and its low pressure line is located to the south of Sardar.
According to the department, light rain is falling in one or two places of Gandaki and Karnali provinces, with partial to normal rains across the country. It will be partly to mostly cloudy across the country this afternoon.
There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some places of Koshi, Madhesh, Wagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. There is also a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places in Koshi, Wagmati and Gandaki provinces.
Likewise, it will be partly to mostly cloudy over the country tonight, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in some places of Koshi province and some places in the hilly parts of the rest of the province and one or two places in the Terai area of Lumbini province.
Lumbini, Madhesh, Wagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and some places of Sudurpaschim Province are likely to experience light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning. Stating that there is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places of Koshi, Wagmati and Gandaki provinces, the department has requested the people of those areas to be cautious.
