  • An emergency meeting of the security committee was held at the district administration office after the relatives refused to identify the body

A woman died on Tuesday night during a uterine surgery at a government hospital in Bharatpur. Relatives refused to identify the body saying that the woman died during a minor (ordinary) operation.

Bharatpur Hospital has formed an internal investigation committee about the incident. An emergency meeting of the Security Committee is being held at the Chitwan District Administration Office to discuss this.

According to information received from the Chitwan District Administration Office, 39-year-old Mejakan Kafle of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-12 Munal Chowk was admitted to Bharatpur Hospital for treatment on Monday, August 3rd. It was her turn for surgery on Tuesday as she had a tumor in her uterus. He was taken to the operation theater at nine o'clock on Tuesday morning.

'It was not a big tumor. So it is not a major operation. They are trying to remove part of the uterine meat for biopsy by inserting the binoculars. Therefore, when it was his turn after the big operation, medicine was given to make him unconscious around two o'clock," said Dr. Krishna Prasad Paudel, Medical Superintendent of Bharatpur Hospital. Kafle, who was kept in the ICU, died at 10:30 last night after the problem was noticed as soon as the binoculars were inserted.

Dr. Poudel said that this may have happened due to a sudden heart attack. We have formed an investigation committee under the leadership of Dr. Mani Gautam, a cardiologist of the hospital, to study and report on this. But his relatives did not understand the body. There is a meeting at the Chitwan District Administration Office today for further discussion, said Medical Superintendent Dr. Paudel.

Chief District Officer of Chitwan Indradev Yadav said that the security committee meeting is going to be held to coordinate and find a solution.
