A few days ago Tribhuvan University Sociology Central Department head appointment dispute is said to have threatened officials. A member of the Executive Council said that there was a dispute in the appointment after Dean Shakya recommended the name of associate professor Tikaram Gautam who was ranked second after Pasang Sherpa who was ranked first. On the basis of seniority, the department recommended the names of associate professor Sherpa as number one, Gautam as number two and Manhari Dhakal as number three.
