The Nepali Army has rescued 6 people who were at high risk due to the flood in Thame River located in Khumbu Pasanglhamu Rural Municipality-5 Thame of Solukhumbu.

Although the flood caused damage to the settlement from Friday afternoon, the security personnel arrived only a short time ago. Dwarika Prasad Ghimire, DSP, District Police Office, Solukhumbu, said that 12 houses (including a hotel) in Thame were swept away when the water flow suddenly increased from the head of Thame river, which is the border between Dolakha and Solukhumbu.

According to him, a local person has disappeared in the flood. As the incident happened in the afternoon, there were no other casualties.
