All-acceptable amendments can be made to the constitution in due course: Prime Minister Oli

Prime Minister Oli said that there is no doubt that the constitution will be amended in a timely manner while giving his opinion in the meeting of the House of Representatives. He said, 'Constitution can and should be amended as part of an effort to make it universally acceptable, not dividing it on the lines of acceptability and inadmissibility.'

The prime minister also said that it is necessary to discuss among the political parties, the public and the constitutional experts for the amendment of the constitution. He said that experience of implementation of Nepal's constitution and international practice will also be studied. He said that the government and the opposition have respect for the constitution of Nepal.

'Someone loves the constitution, no one doesn't, we will amend it together,' he said, 'there is no shortage of the government in protecting and enforcing this constitution . We do not think that anyone's opinion is different. There is no difference of opinion in anyone's democratic system. I believe that there is no different idea, no different behavior in establishing, adopting and advancing democracy as a way of life.'

Oli said that the constitution is not an unamendable document. He said that the government is of the opinion that amendments should be made to strengthen the democratic system. 'Constitution is not an unamendable document, it is an amendable document . Stating that provisions have been made in the constitution to make democracy a reality, the Prime Minister made it clear that he is adamant about that provision. "If some things are to be modified based on experience in a timely manner, it will be done with consultation, discussion and agreement," he said. He said that instead of amending the constitution by reaching two-thirds of the number, it is necessary to amend the constitution with the acceptance of everyone.
