A three-member inquiry commission has been formed to investigate the helicopter accident. Prithvisubba Gurung, Government Spokesperson and Minister of Communication and Information Technology, informed that a three-member commission was formed under the leadership of senior pilot Subas Thapa of the Nepali Army at the cabinet emergency meeting held on Wednesday.
Aeronautical engineer Bishnu Basnet and Tanuja Pokharel are members of the commission . The commission has been given a deadline to submit its report within 30 days from the date of commencement of work.
Captain Arun Malla and four Chinese tourists died when the Air Dynasty helicopter crashed on Wednesday afternoon. Expressing grief over the death of a Chinese citizen, the government has expressed its condolences to the family of the deceased and the Chinese government.
