Elchekh Mohammad Wisham Ghouzayal, the non-paid Consul General for Nepal, has said that all Nepalis are safe in Lebanon. Due to the raging conflict in West Asia, the security of Nepalis in Lebanon is increasing. It is said that there are around 1,200 Nepalis as domestic workers.

"Nepalis are safe". Most of them are working with their employers in safe areas, whether in Beirut or in the mountainous areas of Lebanon," Ghouzayal, the unpaid consul general, told Kantipour. "We are in constant contact with the employers . In case of any emergency situation, it will be coordinated with the Nepali Embassy in Cairo and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal." He added, 'The situation in this area is unclear and we are waiting for time to take an appropriate decision.'

He clarified that the Consulate General in Beirut and the Nepali Embassy in Cairo are working tirelessly to ensure the safety of Nepalis and provide necessary assistance at any time. "We request Nepalis to stay in a safe place, follow the instructions of the local authorities and contact us immediately if necessary," he said.
