Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Bishnu Prasad Paudel has said that when the rest of the peace process is completed, it should be victim-friendly. Speaking at the 32nd Prakash Kafle Memorial Day and 30th Prakash Human Rights Award distribution program in Lalitpur on Wednesday, Deputy Prime Minister Paudel said that the rest of the peace process should be completed as soon as possible.

He said that the wounds of the conflict have not been erased and that there is still work to be done to bring the peace process to a conclusion. He mentioned that the responsibility of completing the rest of the peace process rests on the shoulders of the government, political parties, human rights workers, and ordinary citizens.

He said that he is clear that when the rest of the peace process is completed, it should be completed in a way that supports the victims. He said, 'Nepalese society has gone through an unexpected, unnecessary, unfair and a terrible conflict that will be remembered as a burden for the Nepali society. From that conflict, we Nepalis have transformed Nepali society from conflict, from violence to peace with great effort. Violence and conflict have ended and peace has been established. But still the wounds of the conflict have not been erased. There is still work to be done to bring the peace process to a conclusion. Some work is still left. The responsibility of completing the rest of the peace process rests on all of us. The government is on the shoulders of royal parties. It is on the shoulders of human rights workers. It is on the shoulders of ordinary citizens. In order to complete the rest of the peace process, our decisions must be victim-friendly. It should be on the victim's side.'

Deputy Prime Minister Paudel said that the human rights movement will continue. He said that he will advance the human rights agenda according to the situation.
