A photo of a child with a plaster cast on his right hand, who came for treatment after breaking his left arm, has been going viral on social media since Tuesday evening. Netizens are criticizing the staff of the district hospital Bajhang saying that this happened due to the carelessness of the health workers.

Sunil, who fell while playing near the door of his house on Sunday evening, was taken to the district hospital Simkhet by his brother Ades Daulayal on Monday. He was taken to the hospital around three o'clock on Monday afternoon and an X-ray showed a fracture in the elbow of his left hand. The doctor told Sunil to be admitted to the ward saying that he had to undergo an operation.
The nurses who came after a while took the child to another room saying that they had to plaster the hand. The order that went to Kuruwa was sitting on a chair placed outside the same room. After the plaster was finished, the health worker entrusted the order to Sunil, saying that the operation will be done tomorrow. Adesh also took Sunil to the hospital canteen to eat. "When I reached the canteen, I saw that it was plastered not on the injured hand, but on the other hand," said Adesh, "The canteen staff informed the doctor after seeing me making the video. He immediately came and took his brother inside. He threw away the previous plaster and put it on the other hand again. The order said that the health workers took Sunil saying that the plaster was put on the other hand by mistake.
On Tuesday evening, the hospital discharged Sunil after the surgery on Wednesday. Dr. Deepak Khadka, an orthopedic specialist at District Hospital Bajhang, said that the surgery was performed by connecting the broken bones with the help of wires. He said that it was a human error, saying that the hospital staff was weak while doing the plastering. I used to see such cases myself. That day, another serious patient with a broken leg came in, so I went to the emergency room. Get down to support the child's hand. They have put support in other hands,' said Khadka.
