The Nepali Congress has instructed the MPs of their party represented in the House of Representatives not to give a vote of confidence to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

Prime Minister Dahal has said that this June 28th will start at 11 am Compulsory attendance at the meeting of the House of Representatives, The party has issued a whip to vote against the motion to remain neutral and that the Prime Minister has the confidence of the House of Representatives in accordance with Clause (2) of Article 100 of the Constitution of Nepal. The chief whip of the party, Ramesh Lekhtar, has issued the instructions.

Prime Minister Dahal, who is also the chairman of the Nepal Communist Party (Maoist Center), is going to take the vote of confidence for the fifth time in 18 months. After the Communist Party of Nepal (UML), which supported him, withdrew its support, he is going to take the vote of confidence according to clause (2) of Article 100 of the Constitution of Nepal.

Congress, the largest party in Parliament, and UML, the second largest party, have agreed to form a new government on June 17 to take over the leadership of the current government.
