Education, Science and Technology Minister Sumana Shrestha said that students recommended by the government for MBBS and BDS studies can study in Bangladesh on scholarships.

In the meeting of the Education, Health and Information Technology Committee under the House of Representatives, Education Minister Shrestha informed that the problem of cutting off the names of some of the students recommended to study MBBS and BDS in Bangladesh has been resolved.

The Bangladesh government published the results saying that out of the 22 students recommended by the government, only 12 students were selected. After the names of 10 of them did not appear in the results, the concerned students, the parliamentary committee and the concerned bodies of the government showed interest. Giving information in this regard, Minister Shrestha informed that 8 of the remaining 10 people will be able to study. He said that 2 people will not be able to study as they have not filled the application form in Bangladesh.

'There was a quota of 'G2G' for 22 people . They have publicly placed the web link provided by Bangladesh. Two people have not applied from it. 2 people who have been selected and sent by us have not applied . Earlier 12 people were selected . 8 others will also be able to read,' said Education Minister Shrestha, 'What is clear from the fact that Bangladesh sent us the note, what they wrote in that letter, 10 of the 22 people sent by you did not qualify . Bangladesh has made it clear that we have taken it through whoever applied through our link . A total of 36 people have applied. Out of 22 people, 20 are selected students and 16 others . Out of 16 people, Bangladesh has written that we have selected them in this way.'

Minister Shrestha said that she will talk to the Vice-Chancellor about the students who are facing barriers in MBBS second semester and then some decision can be taken.
