Banning teachers from politics

In the policy and program submitted by President Ramchandra Paudel to the Parliament on Tuesday, it is mentioned that the provision of monthly salary of teachers will be arranged. To fill the shortage of teachers of English, mathematics and science subjects in public schools, the government has put forward a policy of sending university students to teaching internships with evaluation. It has been pointed out that there is a shortage of about 56,000 teachers in schools. There is also a shortage of English, math and science teachers.

Apart from the faculty of pedagogy, he also said that arrangements will be made to allow people with teaching training to enter the teaching service after obtaining a minimum qualification in related subjects. According to President Paudel, the underprivileged targeted scholarship program will be extended up to class 12. The government has promised to conduct a 'career counseling program' in public schools and facilitate visas for foreign students. Universities and stakeholders have been complaining that it is difficult for foreign students to get visas when they come to study in Nepal. It is mentioned in the

policy and program that basic education will be provided to all children within the next 5 years. President Paudel said that alternative non-formal education will be provided to children who are out of school. "Necessary arrangements will be made to transfer knowledge, skills and experience from senior citizens to the new generation of children and youth," he said.

There is a complaint that junk food is used in mid-day meals which are distributed free up to class 5. The last year's program to implement the One City One Smart School concept has been continued this year as well. It has been announced that five schools associated with Martyr Foundation Nepal will be operated centrally and will be expanded in each province.

The government has said that necessary preparations will be made for the establishment and operation of medical colleges in Udaipur, Morang, Parsa, Chitwan and other places. Preparations for the operation of a hospital under the Eastern University are also included in the policy and program.
