Nepal Police has arrested two people with gold while illegally hiding it from the parking area of ​​Tribhuvan International Airport to evade customs and made it public today.

Central Police Spokesperson and Deputy Inspector General of Police Dan Bahadur Karki informed that the arrested are 31-year-old Samir Ahmed of Pyuthan Sarumarani Rural Municipality-1 Bangesar and 30-year-old Devraj Khatri of Khotang Diparung Rural Municipality-5.

Sameer, who came to Kathmandu from Doha by Himalaya Airlines flight, was arrested by the police on Monday along with gold weighing about 54 grams (one metal block, one silver ring) and one mobile phone.

According to the police, Devaraj was arrested with one piece of gold jewelry weighing about 25 grams, two mobile phones and one laptop.

The police have handed over the arrested to Tribhuvan International Airport Customs Office Sinamangal for necessary investigation and action.
