The team of District Police Complex Kathmandu has arrested one person on the charge of murdering 41-year-old Rupak Bantawa Rai in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-10 Shankhamul and making it public on Wednesday.
Among those arrested is 22-year-old MK Kumar, who lives in Bara Simraungarh Nagarpal-7 and currently lives in Kathmandu-10 Saibaba Park, District Police Complex spokesman and Superintendent of Police Navraj Adhikari said.
He said, 'on the 10th of August, in the shutter of the ground floor of Lakshmi Bantwa's two-storey house in Shankhamul Saibaba Park, Kathmandu-10, he was beaten and injured in the pool house run by his son Rupak, 41, and escaped and died in the night. The police arrested MK Kumar.'
One piece of rod used in the incident, a check of the deceased Rupak, glasses, bags, clothes and other items were found in the room of the arrested MK and seized and taken into custody.
