The meeting of deposit and credit protection agencies of 16 different Asian countries will be held in Nepal.
The government bodies of those countries are going to participate in the conference of security organizations of Asian countries (ASIC Conference) which will start from Friday in the capital. Nepal is going to hold the 36th ASIC Conference after 30 years.
On Friday, the 51st anniversary of the Deposit and Credit Protection Fund and the ASIC Conference will be inaugurated by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel. The
conference will be held until next Monday. Ramesh Ghimire, the Chief Executive Officer of the Fund, informed that during the conference, there will be intensive discussions among the stakeholders on the topical issues of the deposit and credit protection agencies of different countries along with the experience of their respective countries.
This time, he said that the topic of innovation has been prioritized in the conference. "The fund is trying to convey the message that you can take a loan by putting your new thinking as a mortgage," he said. The
conference will be attended by security organizations from 16 countries including Nepal, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, South Korea, and Japan.
