Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Badri Prasad Pandey has said that they will maintain uniformity in air fares for domestic and foreign tourists. Speaking at the National Assembly meeting on Thursday, Minister Pandey said that the government is giving high priority to discuss this issue. He also assured that a positive decision will be taken to bring uniformity in air ticket prices.

Saying that the budget for the tourism sector is not yet sufficient, he said that by implementing the tourist strategy plan from 2016 to 2025 and the Visit Nepal Decade, the goal is to bring in 1.6 million tourists this year.

He said that seven provinces, seven destination programs, Eco Hill Tourism and other programs have been included in this year's budget by targeting all seven provinces. He said that Nepal Tourism Board has implemented road shows and other promotional programs aimed at tourists from India and China.
