A separate organization will be established for investigating air accidents: Minister Pandey

Minister Pandey also informed that the government is doing its homework to make the necessary law for air accident investigation . Minister Pandey said in an interaction program on 'Air Safety in Nepal' held in Bhaktapur that the government is also preparing to create a separate agency to investigate air accidents as other countries also have the practice.

Minister Pandey said that the government has also taken forward the work of revising the Non-Military Aviation Act keeping air safety in mind. "The Civil Aviation Act is also very old and the Ministry is doing its work to make contemporary amendments," Minister Pandey said. That committee works, but there is no organization that carries its continuity, its unbroken succession, and there is no professionalism in terms of investigation, as the practice of investigation in other countries also requires a permanent nature organization, a structure is needed, and we feel that a separate law is needed for that as well. We are also in the process of making a draft of it.'

Minister Pandey made it clear that the homework of forming a permanent mechanism to investigate air accidents is underway.

Minister Pandey informed that the government has also moved forward to make policy arrangements to bring the victims of air accidents under the scope of insurance .
