A tiger died after being attacked by a buffalo in Makwanpur's Manahari. The police said that the tiger died when the buffalo retaliated while attacking the buffalo tied in the barn.
On Thursday morning, a tiger went to attack a buffalo tied up in the shed of Bal Bahadur Rai of Manhari rural municipality-6 Pratapur . The owner of the house came to know after the conflict between the tiger and the buffalo. When the owner of the house along with the neighbors reached the cowshed, the buffalo was injured and the tiger was dead. As soon as they got the
news, the Nepali Army team from Lamitar Barracks of Padampokhari Sector, the intermediate area assigned to protect Manhari and Parsa Wildlife Reserves, reached the scene of the incident.
'When we went, the tiger was lying down in the shed . The blood was flowing from the buffalo's neck,' Sai Santosh Choudhary of the area police office, Manhari, who returned to the scene of the incident, said He said, "The tiger is old, it may have died when the buffalo resisted". The police said that the tiger may have died when the buffalo hit it with its horn and trampled it. The police said that the dead tiger was taken to Chitwan National Park, Kasara for further investigation and post-mortem of the incident.
