Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri had a courtesy meeting with President Ramchandra Paudel. In the meeting held at Rashtrapati Bhavan Sheetal Niwas on Sunday, various issues of bilateral interest and relations were discussed.

On that occasion, President Paudel said that Nepal-India should work together to reduce the impact of climate change. He mentioned that there is a lot of potential for hydropower development, sustainable and easy energy trade in Nepal.

On that occasion, Indian Foreign Secretary Misri expressed his commitment to work together on climate change mitigation as it is a challenge for both countries. Among the many schemes of the Nepal government, such as energy, agriculture, tourism, India is also a priority for Nepal. He said he was willing to do it. He also informed that India is willing to complete the ongoing projects soon and work on the remaining new priorities.

Press advisor Pokharel informed that the more harmonious the relationship between Nepal and India is, the more it will benefit the people of both countries.
