Health and Population Minister Pradeep Paudel has said that in order to make the health insurance service effective, all the services and support provided by the state for health should be brought into an integrated system. Answering questions raised by parliamentarians at the meeting of the Education, Health and Information Technology Committee on Thursday, Minister Poudel said that services can be made effective by integrating scattered facilities.

"Currently, there are different insurance programs for social security fund, security agencies and employees," he said, "The state is also spending on various topics for treatment." Our aim is to keep all these in an integrated system and search for more resources.'

He said if all the insurance and expenses under the state can be kept in one system, the resources will increase and if all employees can contribute some percentage of their salary to the health insurance, it can be more effective.

Minister Paudel expressed his belief that the health insurance can be made effective if the contribution amount of the state is also increased and resources are increased through taxes. He said that along with resource assurance, problems such as false claims in the insurance system are also being rectified and health insurance will be effective.

He said that they are making various efforts to make the amount of health insurance 5 lakh by improving the service. He said that there is a problem of lack of manpower in

hospitals, instead of opening new ones, efforts have been made to provide specialized treatment by adding specialized services to hospitals in all seven provinces. 'Cancer treatment services have been expanded,' he said.

In order to solve the problem of lack of health manpower, Minister Paudel complained that despite the proposal to increase the number of posts, the approval was not received from the Ministry of Finance.
