A Central Rapid Patrol Team will be formed and deployed to control revenue leakage

It is mentioned in the press note that the meeting of the committee of the heads of various agencies that play an important role in revenue collection, including the Home Minister Ramesh Alekhar under the chairmanship of the Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel, decided to make the goal of revenue collection an important basis for evaluating the performance of the employees and security personnel assigned to the revenue administration.

The meeting has decided to form a central rapid patrol team to control revenue leakage and deploy it from east to west.

It has been decided to implement a systematic action plan related to revenue leakage control, to be careful not to cause any kind of suffering to taxpayers who have done business according to the law, but to not give exemption to anyone who does illegal economic activities.

The meeting also decided to effectively coordinate between various agencies under the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Home Affairs to control revenue leakage. In the

meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel mentioned that no one who leaks revenue will be exempted and directed to post employees and policemen connected with the revenue administration to break the unexpected relationship that may occur when the same person stays in the same position and responsibility for a long time.

Finance Minister Paudel directed to make surveillance effective through the use of modern technology including scanners at the border crossings, to make the classification and evaluation of imported goods realistic, to encourage the act of taking and giving bills in the market, and to investigate ruthlessly the revenue leakage that may occur by setting up fake bills or firms .

Instructing them to proceed with their responsibilities with integrity and determination, he expressed the belief that the steps of the revenue administration and security personnel will be qualitatively higher from now on.

Minister of Home Affairs, Ramesh Akhtar expressed his commitment to provide all necessary support to the Ministry of Home Affairs to control the revenue leakage and meet the target of revenue . He asked for incentives to pay taxes. In the

meeting, Finance Secretary, Revenue Secretary, Director General of Internal Revenue Department, Director General of Customs Department, Director General of Revenue Investigation Department, Director General of Money Laundering Investigation Department, National Investigation Department, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and other officials discussed the exchange of information for controlling revenue leakage. He expressed his commitment to move forward effectively and coordinate with each other.
